During a visit to Venice, I found a small booklet titled  Venice: Venetian Domestic Architecture, by Egle Trincanato and Renzo Salvadori.

Their work covers the two sestieri (districts) of Castello and Dorsoduro, and focuses on buildings for the 12th to the 18th centuries. These are not grand palazzi, but down to earth homes, of ordinary Venetians.

The discovery was made late in my visit, so I only had a short time to try to locate a few of the featured dwellings in Castello and Dorsoduro. Now, I have time to find every one of these dwellings (assuming they still exist) and make  a record of them, in the 21st century.
